Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is ideally located in the CBD, making it convenient for exploring Sydney. The service was friendly and helpful, although a few issues arose during my stay. The rooms, while fulfilling basic needs, were a bit outdated and small for the price. The dining experience was good overall, but there were some inconsistencies with advertised timings. The location is excellent, especially for those wanting to be in the heart of the city.
The hotel is right in the heart of the city, offering comfy and quiet rooms despite being located above busy cafes. The mini bar facility was small, and access to some features required furniture rearrangement. Service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially towards guests needing extra care. The hotel's excellent location is well-maintained and clean, making it a great choice for the price paid. Dining offered simple but affordable options, including gluten-free and lactose-free choices. Overall, a value-for-money stay with minor inconveniences.
The hotel is conveniently located in Sydney CBD, with small but clean rooms and friendly staff. However, the limited dining options may leave you wanting more.
The hotel rooms were a mixed bag, small and quiet with a really comfortable bed, feeling like an old dormitory with a very unusual layout. However, they were adequate for a single traveler despite being on the smaller side. The service was excellent and very helpful, although there were some minor issues with speed. The location was fantastic, right in the hip shopping district very central and close to everything needed. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with limited healthy options but catering well to dietary preferences. Overall, a comfortable stay with great ambiance and service.
The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the hip shopping district very central, and the standard of the room, although compact, provided a solid night's sleep. The service was wonderful and extremely courteous, arranging for boiled eggs in the refrigerator the night before for a quick breakfast and a taxi for an early departure. The dining options were good with gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk available without any issues. The rooms, while in need of updates to the furniture and decor, were clean but a bit small, and the bathroom was even smaller.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location was fantastic, close to shopping, dining, Circular Quay, and Darling Harbour, but the hotel was overcrowded with lodge people which made it hard to get served. The rooms were tiny and decorated like they were from the 1950s with old-style furniture, carpet, and upholstery, which was a downside. The service was friendly and accommodating, although it took its time and sometimes forgot half of the requests.
During my stay, I found the hotel to be a bit on the older side, but still decently clean with a working en-suite bathroom that had a great shower. The rooms near the back of the hotel, although not in use during my visit, seemed like they should have been priced lower considering the age.
The hotel was located in a very noisy street, and the room was dim and small, not worth the high price. The service was friendly but lacked attention to reservations and promotions. The location was brilliant, close to desired areas, and represented good value. The dining experience was average with overpriced items. Overall, a mixed experience with some positives and negatives.
The room didn't quite meet my expectations as it had some maintenance issues, but considering the price, it was decent value. The location was great, right in the city center with easy access to transport. The service was a bit hit or miss, some staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, while others not so much. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some confusion around prices, but they did cater well to dietary needs. Overall, a mixed experience with both positives and negatives.
I felt like I was coming home at this hotel, whether I stayed in one of the older rooms or the fun and hip newly renovated rooms. The older rooms still had new mattresses, so the beds were incredibly comfortable, even in the smaller rooms. However, the overall decor is very outdated and needs a renovation done pronto. The rooms are reasonably priced, not 5-star luxury, but they have everything you need and are small, in line with that era.
